Ogden, Utah - In one word, MemoryWorks is about passion. In 2002 Amber Crowell, along with the support of her
husband Kevin, created MemoryWorks, a unique direct-sales scrapbook company with a profound vision.
"The moment I
discovered the scrapbook hobby over 13 years ago, I knew I had found my true love," states Amber Crowell, founder of MemoryWorks.
"I had finally discovered the perfect hobby that not only allowed me to express my creativity, but preserve my memories and
legacy as well." After a successful career as a marketing manager for a regional shopping center, Amber left her dream career
to become a stay-at-home mom to her new baby. "I was so excited to become a stay-at-home mom, and I was confident I could
find a home-based scrapbook business opportunity that focused on my new-found passion for scrapbooking, plus featured the
products that I loved, used and enjoyed."
Yet, research into other scrapbook consultant opportunities left her empty
handed. Amber envisioned a direct-sales scrapbook consulting company with a no-pressure sales environment where consultants
and customers could enjoy the top products in the industry. She wanted consultants to feel like family, with no overbearing
quotas to keep them from enjoying their passion. She envisioned a flexible atmosphere where both hobbyists and business-minded
consultants alike could find a consulting company that worked for them - that allowed them to share their passion for their
hobby and favorite products. Her company would be unique, from the products offered and the low-cost start up fee, to the
convenient, home-party approach bringing the scrapbook store directly to customers. Amber wanted the business opportunity
to be uncomplicated - no uplines or downlines, no impossible quotas, no hassles... just a quality company with incredible
products, an unparalleled consultant opportunity, and unmatched customer service.
Like many start up scrapbook companies,
Amber and Kevin founded MemoryWorks in the basement of their Roy, Utah as a home-based family business, with just a handful
of consultants in the Utah area. "I did my best to manage the day-to-date operations of MemoryWorks from customer service
and consultant programs, to marketing and inventory management," explains Amber, "While Kevin balanced his full-time job as
manager of a financial institution, while also fulfilling his accounting and financial responsibilities for MemoryWorks. There
were many times that we would be awake in the wee hours of the night, after our children were in bed picking, packing and
shipping orders from the basement of our home!"
Even in the bare-bones of their business, Amber and Kevin were committed
to making MemoryWorks a top-notch consultant opportunity! "It hasn’t been easy managing a demanding business and growing
family responsibilities." states Amber. "Often times we would wonder what we had gotten ourselves into, but we believed in
the MemoryWorks vision and we were dedicated to providing an unprecedented program to our consultants!"
A company
like no other, MemoryWorks has surpassed expectation and in five short years has become a force in the industry. Offering
name-brand products and exclusive theme kits, MemoryWorks has formed a reputation of satisfaction and one-of-a-kind customer
service. Unlike any other company of its nature, MemoryWorks offers a unique customer and consulting experience. Unmatched
quality, unsurpassed service, and a wonderful home for scrapbook consultants - that's the MemoryWorks experience.
Amber
built their company from the ground up using the same marketing techniques she used as a marketing executive to grow and promote
her own business. Their hard work and drive has paid off - MemoryWorks is now a flourishing business with over 3,000 consultants
in 50 states including Alaska, Hawaii and overseas military, and continues to grow with unheard of precedence. MemoryWorks
has expanded from their home-based operation to a 3,000 square foot office and warehouse in Ogden, Utah which is the heart
of the MemoryWorks operation. Amber’s husband Kevin runs the day-to-day operations, with their dedicated home office
staff, while Amber continues to do what she loves most - scrapbook, oversee the MemoryWorks vision and is mother to her three
young children; Katelyn 6, Ashlyn 4, and Brock 3. "We know the success that MemoryWorks has experienced would not be possible
without our valued consultants and customers - we are truly a MemoryWorks family and are so appreciative of the continued
support and enthusiasm we receive about the MemoryWorks program! We work with the most amazing consultants that continue to
amaze and inspire us on a daily basis."
